THE UK’S BIGGEST INTERNET INFORMATION SERVICE FOR LANDLORDS

A new suite of websites, launched by the Residential Landlords Association, has become the UK’s most comprehensive information service for the private rented sector.

And, with over 20,000 pages, it now looks set to become the most ambitious website group of its kind in Europe.

“We are now providing a definitive industry resource for ‘buy-to-let’ investors and especially the 12,000 landlords we represent,” says Lee Dribben, chairman of the Residential Landlords Association - whose members own over 100,000 private rented properties throughout the UK.

“It gives us a voice and Internet presence to match our position as the leading and fastest-growing professional association in our business sector.”

THE MAIN RLA SITE

… has been redesigned for simpler navigation. An improved, modern presentation of information showcases a range of expert advice from tenancy deposit issues, tax, credit checks, energy performance certificates, gas, electricity and fire safety through to complex guidance on serving notices to quit and completing court papers.

It’s a mostly open site with free public access – even to the RLA’s regular e-newsletter - with no fee or membership requirement. But there is a private members’ area that includes the help desk, discussion forum and access to specialist documents such as the RLA’s award-winning, plain English tenancy agreement.

“We’ve always given people reasons to keep returning to the site and new members have joined because of the added value it’s given them,” says Lee Dribben.

RLA NEWS

The newly launched NEWS SITE turns the RLA into a industry news source with property, financial, legal, member services and stories from its own dedicated team of writers.

Users can chose to receive alerts and industry news flashes direct to their computers. And the incoming news stream includes a live interactive chart that monitors how the property industry is performing in relation to the FTSE.

MAGAZINE ONLINE

The RLA’s bi-monthly magazine ‘RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY INVESTOR’ reaches a wider audience through the launch of a digital interactive online version - which will build a growing archive of reference material with its own internal search feature.

“As well as making the main RLA website easier to navigate and developing our own news site, we have introduced the RLA toolbar, designed to benefit landlords and keep them up to date with the very latest news as it happens,” says Lee Dribben.

“The RLA website has always been an authoritative resource for property investors to learn best practice and to benefit their business but now we are a major source of industry news and other resources.

“The suite of RLA websites has just raised the bar for Internet resources on this scale in our sector … and moved it to a great new height.”
