Fire Safety in Shared Houses
Thursday, November 13th, 2008After a long campaign it has been the RLA who has persuaded Government that the Fire Safety Order/Regulatory Reform Order does not apply to shared houses. This has now been written into the latest LACORS Guidance. What is means is that in the case of shared houses landlords will not have to carry out a formal risk assessment. This has reduced the level of bureaucracy without compromising fire safety.
