‘Bad news for landlords’ – The RLA’s guide to universal credit

The RLA has produced a landlords’ guide to universal credit, and, unfortunately, it contains very little good news.

With the Government refusing to entertain the idea of allowing widespread direct housing benefits payments to landlords, the prospect of greater arrears and increasing evictions looms large.

The guide outlines the Government’s proposals and what they mean for landlords.
