The Landlord and Letting show in London is one of the biggest events in the private rented sector social calendar, something that the RLA wouldn’t pass up.
The event was held at the Barbican in London and the RLA was happy to be back at an event whose organisers have historically named the RLA ‘campaigner of the year’ two times and more importantly ‘Association of the year’ for 2012.
In all the RLA sent a team of six representatives to the show to back up claims that the RLA is an industry leader when it comes to the private rented sector (PRS). With managers, directors, officers and TDS personnel all in attendance, saying that the RLA had all bases covered is a certainty.
Manning stand 65 was Marketing Officer Sian Williams who was pleased with the reception that the RLA received at the event.
“It’s very different to talking to people on the phone, our members know what they want and they have a specific set of questions. It definitely keeps you on your toes for the two days.”
Adrian Woolger, from the RLA Local Authorities (LA) Network and Leeds Accreditation, was also present and was interviewed by PRS rock star Vanessa Warwick for Property Tribes. You can view the video here.
Vanessa was right to point out that not only does the RLA provides an unparalleled level of support for members through the Landlord Advice Team (LAT), relevant training opportunities, and other landlord services such as deposit protection schemes or mortgage advice the RLA is also an industry leading campaigner.
Seminars on Superstrike, run by our TDS trading partners, RLA trainer/Landlord Advice Team (LAT) chief Dave Absalom, and a Buy to Let seminar hosted by Doug Hall of RLA Mortgagtes, were well attended and provided attendees with much needed advice and food for thought.
The RLA will be at the next Landlord & Letting conference in Newcastle on the 24-25th of October. Find out more!
With local events in Chorely and Sheffield coming up this week the RLA is keen to remind members and landlords everywhere that the commitment to the PRS is not solely reserved for central Government and London. Keep an eye out for local events happening in your area so you can benefit from RLA expertise!
