Brighton: HMO licensing scheme launched

A HMO licensing scheme was launched in Brighton earlier this week.

The scheme was launched on Monday (5th November) and covers the following five wards in Brighton & Hove:

  • Hanover & Elm Grove
  • Moulsecoombe & Bevendean
  • St Peter’s & North Laine
  • Hollingdean & Stanmer
  • Queen’s Park

Unless the scheme is ended beforehand, lasts for a period of five years. It will apply to smaller houses in multiple occupation, consisiting of two or more storeys, with three or more occupiers from two or more households sharing facilities.
