Charities appeal for winter stock

With summer now behind us, and the kids heading back to school, attention is rapidly turning to Christmas. For charity shops this period is a key time to sell more goods and raise money for good causes; but often they are held back by a lack of the right stock. So Gone for Good is asking RLA members to donate unwanted goods from their properties.

Categories they have flagged as needing this month include:

  • Furniture
  • General homewares
  • Coats and Jackets, heavy knitwear, hats and scarves
  • Menswear generally (e.g. suits)

The charities value the RLA’s support and it would be great if you could see what items you’ve got to donate via the Gone for Good app this month.

If you haven’t already done so, just download the Gone for Good app (links below) or check out

Don’t forget to flag in the drop down menu that you heard about Gone for Good via “RLA”. That will help us to give you some valuable feedback about the difference you’re making for charities.
