Landlords and letting agents in Wales are being invited to attend a free forum hosted by Conwy Council next month.

Attendees will be able to hear from a wide range of expert speakers on issues including the tenant fees ban -which comes into force this week, fire safety and Universal Credit.

Landlords will hear from RLA Vice Chair and Director for Wales Douglas Haig, who will give an update on the sector.

Other speakers on the day include Steve Woosey from the North Wales Energy Advice Centre and RLA trainer Henry Davis, who will be delivering a talk on the Key to Property Investment.

The DWP will also be in attendance, running a training session on applying for Alternative Payment Arrangements for tenants on Universal Credit and showcasing new interactive training materials for landlords.

The forum will take place on Thursday 12th September at Coed Pella, the Conwy Council offices in Colwyn Bay, and will start at 2.30pm.

The full agenda can be found on Conwy Council’s website here, and landlords who want to attend should register by emailing housingstrategy@conwy.gov.uk or calling Anna Williams on 01492 576274.
