DWP publishes latest Universal Credit newsletter for landlords

The Department for Work and Pensions has published the latest newsletter for landlords who let properties to tenants who are in receipt of Universal Credit.

The newsletter, which can be accessed on the Government’s website here, covers a range of topics, including further details of the announcements around Universal Credit in the Autumn Budget last week.

As Universal Credit continues to be rolled out across the country, you can see an updated list of job centres where ‘full UC’ service is available, here.

  • Last month, the DWP announced a new phone system, which will get a landlord straight through to the claimant’s Case Manager providing the tenant is happy for them to contact DWP on their behalf and gives their ‘explicit consent’.
