Our featured course this month is our eLearning Section 8 course.

Section 8 is one of two routes that landlords can go down in order to gain possession of their property-the other route being Section 21.

There has been much talk in the media recently about the latter-Section 21, with the UK Government having recently launched a consultation on reforming the possession process-and axing Section 21.

Our Section 8 course is designed to assist landlords in understanding when and how they can serve section 8 notices.

It is suitable for all landlords, including those who have never ended a tenancy in this way before. Specifically, the course covers:

  • The grounds for possession and when a section 8 notice can be served
  • Where caution should be exercised, possible counterclaims and where some claimants go wrong
  • How to complete a section 8 notice
  • How to serve a section 8 notice

This eLearning course is interactive, and is £28 for RLA members to purchase-and £35 for non-RLA members. Landlords and agents can sign up to it here.
