The RLA is now running courses on universal credit and the impact it will have on the work of landlords, when it is introduced later this year.

Universal credit will impact on thousands of tenants across the country, the vast majority of whom will receive their housing benefits directly when universal credit is launched. For any landlords in receipt of housing benefit payments then the proposed changes could impact their revenues significantly.

The RLA is delighted to have expert Bill Irvine on board to deliver the RLA’s universal credit training courses from February onwards.

  • Certainly worth doing a course like this, not least to iron out any confusion in a very complex new system. Currently I’m very worried my LHA tenanting days may soon become more of a burden.
