The latest stage of consultation on the new Cheshire East Local Plan will be launched on 15th January 2013, when a full range of consultation methods will be employed to ensure everyone can comment on the proposals. However, given the current public interest in planning and development matters, advance copies of the Development Strategy and Policy Principles documents have been made available to view on the Council’s website.

The policy principles of particular relevance to the private rented sector are ‘SC3: Residential mix’ (pp.38-39) and ‘SC4: Housing to meet local needs’ (pp.40-42).

Full consultation on the Development Strategy and Policy Principles Document will take place between 15th January and 26th February 2013. Should you have any advanced comments over Christmas and leading up to 15th January, please send them to localplan@cheshireeast.gov.uk.
