In the first in our series of Covid-19 webinars, we were joined by guest speakers Alison MacDougall, Director of Dispute Operations at the Tenancy Deposit Scheme and Kate Faulkner, property expert and commentator.
Alison spoke about what landlord needs to know when it comes to managing deposits at this time-including how to evidence property condition for check-out and check-in while social distancing. Kate looked further ahead to how landlords can plan for exiting this period of emergency measures, what the market might look like in the months to come.

In the second in our series of weekly webinars for landlords, James Card of tax advisers Rita for Rent spoke about the support available from Government for landlords and tenants, including tax reliefs and support for the self-employed.
Universal Credit expert and NRLA trainer Bill Irvine brought his expertise to guide landlords on the changes the Government has announced on Universal Credit and how landlords can help tenants to apply for benefits.

New electrical safety regulations are coming into force in England from July requiring electrical installations to be safety checked for new tenancies, and for all existing tenancies from April 2021. In this webinar, Charlotte Lee, Head of External Affairs at NAPIT, one of the leading Government Approved Competent Person Schemes for qualified and competent electricians, explained what the new regulations mean for landlords, and how to comply in the context of COVID-19 measures.

In this webinar, Doug Hall, Director of mortgage distributor and mortgage broker 3mc/RLA Mortgages, and John Goodall, CEO of Landbay, specialist buy-to-let mortgage lender, discussed mortgage holidays, lenders products, valuations, and changes in the buy-to-let market as a result of the Coronavirus measures, with insights from both the broker and lender perspectives.
