Hustings cancelled after terror attack

Manchester Election Hustings 2017

In light of the tragic events in Manchester last night the RLA has cancelled its hustings events in the city and in Cardiff this evening.

Our thoughts are with all those affected and their families and we pay tribute to the tireless work of the emergency services and the people of Manchester who pulled together in immediate aftermath of the attack.

Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn have agreed all national campaigning by Labour and the Tories is on hold until further notice, with Liberal Democrat leader Tim Farron cancelling an election visit to Gibraltar. The SNP has also postponed the launch of its manifesto.

Areas of the city remain closed off and rail services are affected, with passengers advised to check their service before travelling. Full details of closures can be found on Manchester Evening News site here.

A fund to support the families of those killed and injured in this attack has been set up here.
