Due to popular demand the RLA has added some extra dates to its courses, including Gaining Possession, Landlords Update and Complete Fire Safety. And, when you book this month, many of our courses are 20% off. Learn more about some of our courses below.

Gaining Possession course

Whether you’re a landlord planning on issuing your first Section 21 notice, or you want to brush up on your knowledge on this area, our Gaining Possession course will help make the process much clearer for you.

The course, which is delivered by a trainer who, herself is an experienced landlord, will take you through the process of obtaining possession; from which notice to serve to how you apply through court.

It also covers possession through the Section 21 (S21) and accelerated procedure and how this contrasts to possession using a Section 8 (S8) and the standard procedure. With example forms and useful links, landlords and agents will be more confident in what can be a worrying time.

This course has new dates in Cardiff (18th July), Leeds (19th Sept) , Preston (2nd Oct), Birmingham (17th Oct), London (15th Nov) and Manchester (6th Dec). You can book your place and learn more about the course here.

Get up to speed on the law with Landlords Law Update

There are over 130 regulations that impact the private rented sector, and with changes to minimum room sizes and licensing on the horizon, you don’t need us to tell you how important it is that landlords and letting agents keep up to date with the law.

Our Landlords Law Update course is your one-stop shop where you can hear all about the changes that will impact your lettings, as well as some that could come into force in the future.

Muddled by minimum room sizes? Want to learn more about what could be on the horizon for EPC’s. Our Landlords Law Update course is being held in Sheffield (19th Sept), Manchester (9th October) and London (7th November). Currently 20% off, book your place here.

Fire Safety

The legislation on fire safety is complex with different buildings/property types being subject to different laws and regulations, this can leave landlords and letting agents confused as to what fire safety precautions they must take.

As a ‘responsible person’ you have a legal duty to keep your property safe from fire through the provisions of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.  We have new dates available for this course on the 11th September (Cardiff) , 3rd October (London) 16th October (Manchester) and the 8th November in Leeds. You can book your place here.
