RLA members raise over £2,200 for charities

Since introducing Gone for Good to our members earlier this year, they have donated goods worth over £2,200 to charity via the app. That’s a fantastic achievement which has helped several charities and families in need.

The Gone for Good app matches landlords with local charities who actively want to receive particular items and will collect them for free. Landlords can flag up items they no longer need on the app and if charities want to sell them they will arrange to collect them. They are then sold to raise funds.

It’s especially useful for landlords who need to clear out goods left by tenants, or have goods and furniture to donate when they refurbish properties. The app is perfect for larger items, since it saves you having to pay costly disposal fees or having to haul the item to the tip. So far our members have donated a range of items, from bedroom furniture and sofas to lamps, DVDs and books.

‘Christmas is a great time to use Gone for Good’, said founder Mark Charnock ‘Donating unwanted items can help you declutter your properties. But more than that, it’s truly in the spirit of the season to give a helping hand at Christmas to the charities and people who greatly need our support.’

Have you got items to donate?

If you haven’t already done so, just download the Gone for Good app (links below) or check out

Don’t forget to flag in the drop down menu that you heard about Gone for Good via “RLA”. That will help us to give you more valuable feedback about the difference you’re making for charities.
