RLA office move: all systems go

It’s all systems go at the RLA offices this week as staff get ready for the move to the association’s new home.

The RLA is relocating to new offices at 212 Washway Rd in Sale -a former place of worship, just yards from its current home – on Saturday.

The weekend move date means there should be little, if any, disruption to services for members – and phone numbers will remain unchanged.

The RLA celebrated its 20th anniversary last year and has grown from 350 members in 1998 to 35,000 now. And as the membership has grown so have staff numbers. 

When the RLA opened its current offices in 1999 there was just a single member of staff, with the helpline – now the Landlord Advice Team – manned by the company directors on a rota basis. 

Now the time has come to move to a new home- a former place of worship, to allow the RLA to continue to provide its members, with the best possible service as demand continues to increase – and to accommodate the association’s 40 staff.

Chairman Alan Ward: “The new offices are up-to-date and better suited to the modern RLA. 

“We have invested in new IT and phone systems to support members and create a better working environment for our colleagues. 

“The move marks another milestone for the RLA, which is as committed as ever to making renting better for all.”
