The evolving nature of Housing Health and Safety legislation means that the RLA’s Safe and Secure Home toolkit for Landlords needs constant updating. In light of the Government’s recent announcement that there will no longer be further funding for the Green Deal initiative and Green Deal Home Improvement Fund we have updated the guidance in the Excess Cold  and Damp and Mould pages of the Safe and Secure Home site. Here you will find more information about how this could affect you.

We have also added some useful Home Safety Checklists that are free to download from the Home Safety Guidance website .The RLA amongst other industry experts worked together to create checklists on Home Safety , Electrical Safety and Falls prevention so that Landlords can demonstrate what measures they have taken to protect their tenant’s safety.

We hope that you will find these extra additions useful.  To find out more please take a look at our ‘Safe and Secure Home’ site

Training

The Safe and Secure House will help you understand your responsibilities, and the RLA can provide in-depth knowledge of these topics through a new raft of training courses.
