The RLA are exhibiting and speaking at the Merseyside Landlord and Property show 2013 Thursday 3rd October 2013.

It’s a busy time of year, but the RLA is getting into the full swing of things for national party conferences and property expo’s.

RLA Vice Chairman, Chris Town is set to discuss ‘Burning Issues in the private rented sector’ at 1:30 pm and the RLA is exceptionally pleased to be included in the schedule for the expo. The show will last all day from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm and will provide regional landlords with a perfect opportunity to meet like-minded people and engage with the RLA as we will have a stand and team present.

Liverpool City Council is pursuing compulsory licensing for landlords, much like the scheme in Newham. The scheme will require all privately rented homes to have a licence for operation. The license also holds conditions of minimal standards regarding the quality of the home and non-compliant landlords could face fines and revocation of their licenses.

Chris Town, will be speaking at 1:30pm discussing challenges facing landlords every day. Issues such as: Tenant checks and immigration issues; Superstrike fallout guidance; Green Deal; and licensing schemes (additional, selective and mandatory) will be on the agenda.

All manner of local authorities, councils, private businesses and letting agents will be in attendance. For more information, visit the show’s website for the Merseyside Landlords Expo.

Stay tuned to the RLA News Hub for more information as it becomes available.
