Landlords are being reminded that it is important that if they are not yet in the self-assessment tax system, then they will need to register for a tax self-assessment by the end of next week (Friday 5th October).

While the cut off date for filing in a tax return online for landlords for the 2017-2018 financial year is 31st January 2019, landlords must act now to make sure they have a User ID and Activation Code by January.

If you earn more than £2500, then as a landlord you will need to do a tax return. Those that are unsure whether or not they need to do a self-assessment tax return should check this out, and to register for the self assessment tax return you can do this here.
