Universal credit: Are you a landlord in a pilot area?

With universal credit set to go live in four pilot areas next year, the RLA is keen to hear from members in these pilot areas who may be affected by the proposals.

Universal credit will go live next April in Tameside, Oldham, Wigan and Warrington, and will test the new simpler, single benefit payment system with the local authorities, employers and claimants in a live environment before it is rolled out across the country in a staged process from October 2013 onwards.

Can you help?

Are you a landlord in Tameside, Oldham, Wigan and/or Warrington? Will the pilot schemes affect you? If so, please let us know your concerns and get in touch via email at
