RLA campaigning on Universal Credit and welfare reform
The RLA has been heavily active in its campaigning around Universal Credit and welfare reform.
A new online system for landlords
Earlier this year in January, the Work and Pensions Secretary Amber Rudd made several announcements on Universal Credit. This included the development of a new online system for landlords to receive direct rent payments-something the RLA has been campaigning for.
At the RLA’s Future Renting Wales conference last year, minister Justin Tomlinson praised the RLA’s campaigning around Universal Credit.
Addressing a packed room of delegates, the minister said: “The RLA are one of the most proactive and constructive trade bodies, and listen to your concerns. I know from meetings with the RLA that they are a very constructive voice for landlords”.
