Wales fee ban: March date set for next debate

The tenant fees ban in Wales will next be debated on 19th March, it has been confirmed.

This will be for Stage 3 consideration, and it will take place in the Plenary in Wales. You can read an update on the fee ban in Wales here.

Meanwhile, the Tenant Fees Act in England is due to come in to force in England on 1st June 2019. For tenancies signed before this date, there is a one year period to prepare, as the ban will apply to all tenancies in England from 1st June 2020. You can the RLA’s guidance on this here.
