The RLA wants to make landlords and tenants aware of a public notice distributed by North Somerset District Council regarding the implementation of an Additional Licensing scheme for areas of Weston-Super-Mare.

Requirements for landlords to hold appropriate licenses will come into force on 2nd January 2014 after the local council approved proposals on 19th of July this year. Heavy sanctions will be levied against non-compliant landlords operating houses in multiple occupation (HMOs) without licenses.

The RLA is keen to provide details for anyone who may need to respond and strongly suggest you take time to review the public notice for more specific information. Further information is provided on the North Somerset council website.
